Job Title : Accountant

Scope :

As an Accountant in our Finance Department, you will assist with the financial management of multiple Dialogic entities, such as those located in Canada and Asica Pacific through the administration of accounting systems, preparation of financial statements and reports, and maintenance of records.

Responsibilities :

Administers one, or a combination of several general accounting systems for various departments or areas of the company by following established accounting policies, procedures and practices.

Prepares journal entries; maintains and reconciles ledger accounts.

Balances accounts and assists in the preparation of profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements, Will perform period close analysis on some of the entities whilst being required to review analysis performed by others.

Will manage some monthly/quarterly tasks for the entire Finance Department as well as working closing and assisting other members of the Finance Department in various locations.

Will be involved with Annual US GAAP Audit, Quarterly Reviews & Reporting, and also local Statutory Audits performed with Asia Pacific.

Assists the Internal Tax Department by supplying requested information.

Provides a variety of ad-hoc financial reports requested by the Regional or Corporate Controller.

Maintains financial controls to ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and practices.

Advises support staff in client departments on general accounting and financial reporting systems, policies, procedures and requirements; provides various operational areas with required financial data, reports and analysis to assist in managing the business.

Maintains automated control mechanisms to monitor various accounting systems, allotments, receipts, inventories and the like.

 

Requirement :

- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar platform (spreadsheets, word processing, email, etc.)

- Knowledge of ERP system, preferably Oracle

- Solid knowledge of general management accounting principles and practices, automated accounting systems, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger reconciliation, financial analysis.

- Experience dealing with foreign currencies/currency conversions

Preferred :

Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent, and

3 - 5 years (minimum) experience in a similar role
