Scope
:
This position will develop and test video software. The focus of this software will be video analytics capabilities such as video quality assessment, video analysis, pattern matching, digital watermarking and video forensics.
Responsibilities
:
- Responsible for end-to-end design and development of video software and algorithms, including (but not limited to) such functions as:
- Preparation of review documents describing the state of the art in various video technologies; development of new algorithms for achieving quality and performance goals not realized by available technology; generating intellectual property;
- helping Dialogic achieve and maintain a high profile in video research and technology communities through publication and presentation in scholarly journals, trade shows and publications, and academic conferences;
- preparing detailed product specifications based on required hardware configurations; defining any product-specific hardware and performance requirements; developing the software, using Dialogic-standard tools and processes;
- completing the implementation through unit test;
- isolating and fixing any faults/bugs detected during testing or implementation.
- Develop Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and other tools for our video software to be used by other applications or end users.
Requirement
:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field is required (or foreign equivalent).
- Extensive knowledge, development experience, and practical application of working with video algorithms required, including (but not limited to) objective video quality assessment techniques in both the pixel and compressed domains as well as working knowledge of such international video coding standards as MPEG-2, H.263, H.264, and MPEG-4.
- Experience in some aspect of algorithms for analyzing video content is required - this experience may be focused on areas such as image analysis, pattern recognition, digital watermarking or video forensics.
- Experience in building software that has been delivered to customers and used in live field environments is required, as well as experience in current software methodologies and technologies. In particular, experience in the C programming language with Linux and Windows.
