    The Multimedia File Conversion Tools User Guide provides information on how to use the off-line multimedia file conversion tools (also referred to as utilities). These tools can be used to convert multimedia file data between industry-standard formats and the proprietary format. The proprietary multimedia format is used by the Multimedia API, which provides the ability to record and play back digitized multimedia (audio and video) to support video services in application programs.
