Dialogic® 1000 Media Gateway Series
The Dialogic® 1000 Media Gateway Series (DMG1000 Gateways) allows for a well-planned, phased migration to an IP network, making it a smart solution for enterprises looking to enhance their legacy PBX equipment with new VoIP access and applications. Connected between a PBX and a LAN or WAN, a DMG1000 Gateway emulates a range of digital PBX stations and converts the proprietary digital PBX messages into a format suitable for transmission over standard IP networks.
Enabling the Solution
Many organizations adopting Avaya Modular Messaging maintain third party PBX systems. Avaya resellers and system integrators need a reliable and cost effective gateway device to integrate Modular Messaging to the customer third party PBX systems. A DMG1000 Gateway can communicate with wide a wide range of third-party PBX systems via available proprietary digital station ports and signaling, and connects to Avaya Modular Messaging via SIP signaling and sRTP. The unique digital station emulation capability of the DMG1000 Gateways provides Avaya Modular Messaging customers a seamless unified messaging integration with their legacy PBX systems.*

- sRTP feature can be used only between Avaya Modular Messaging and the DMG1008DNIW (not with other SIP endpoints)
