If I ever had any regular readers, you know that my blog has gone quite for a number of months. As we worked through a number of strategic, tactical and technical issues regarding what was going on in our Open Source group, it was a little difficult to make relevant comments about the market without tipping what we were working on. However, that quite period is now over as we have release the first project from our open source group. http://www.dialogic.com/press/press_releases/pr_2009_0831_DiaStar.htm
In addition, Jim Machi has also added some fodder to the discussion in his latest blog.
I'm heading off to IT EXPO tomorrow morning to man our booth in the Open Source Pavilion and give my talk on Thursday morning. The talk is called Open Source Telecommunications: Enabling Anyone to Build a Bad Telephony Application. It was one of the most popular talks at the ClueCon conference last month. I've expanded the talk and included some of the great feedback I got from that session. If you build telephony applications (even if you still used a closed source solution) I'm sure you will find some value in this talk.
I hope to see you in LA!
