There have been a number of questions in the community this week about using Dialogic boards with Asterisk. Many years ago, there was a project underway to create a chan_dialogic that would allow nearly any Dialogic board to be used in with Asterisk. Due a variety of reasons, that project never saw the light of day.
However, Project DiaStar does enable certain Dialogic® HMP Interface Boards (DNI Boards) to be used as part of an Asterisk implementation. If you have any older Dialogic E1 or T1 cards that cannot be used with Asterisk and you want to Trade them in for one that can be used with DiaStar, you can take advantage of the current Trade-Up Rebate Program to get a discount on DiaStar Capable boards. Take a look at Appendix A & B of the rebate offer to see if the boards you have qualify for a trade in.
BTW: I'm speaking at OSCON next week with my every popular talk Open Source Telecommunications: Enabling Anyone to Build a Bad Telephony Application. Hope to see you there.
