Prior to my current position at Dialogic, I spent some time in the Event Business, working at different times for both the original VON show and for IT Expo, developing content for those shows.   So now that Dialogic is sponsoring the Open Source Telecommunications Track at IT EXPO  I am once again back at the task of developing content and helping to select speakers.

There will be five sessions of 45 minutes each in this one day "mini-conference."  Four of the sessions will be in a standard conference format with 2 or 3 speakers sharing the time and working together to deliver on the session objectives.  The final session of the day will be an Open Source PBX Roundtable/Shootout, with representatives of a number of Open Source PBX providers will be answering questions from the moderator and audience in a Panel format.

In order to find the speakers for these sessions, we have been working through the abstracts that were submitted at part of the general call for papers for IT EXPO.  In addition, I have been personally contacting a number of people that the staff of IT EXPO and I thought would make great speakers at this event.  However, before we close submissions, make our final selections and post the speakers, I wanted to make sure we didn't overlook anyone or miss a great potential speaker due to our own oversight. 

So we are making a last few blog and twitter posts to invite people to apply to be a speaker in this track.  Please review the session objects/descriptions  that are posted on the IT EXPO website.  If you are interested in speaking, please contact me ASAP at jeff.dworkin@dialogic.com and we can see if we can work you into the slate.

Although Dialogic is sponsoring the track, I am really looking forward to making this a vendor/project neutral event where we can really dig in and discuss the past, present and future of Open Source Telecommunications.
