Just back from Cluecon in Chicago last week.  Kudos to Brian, Michael and the entire team for putting together another successful event.  This was my third Cluecon, and I always leave Cluecon with a lot of new ideas to work on as there are always lots of "big brains" at the event to bounce ideas off of, whether it is at the conference, at meals or at the social events.

The big news from Project DiaStar and Dialogic is that mod_woomera for FreeSWITCH is now available.  It is still in a pre-release stage, but it is available and working for those who want to try it.  What this means is that FreeSWITCH developers now have a pathway to enter the Dialogic Innovator Challenge, with its $10,000US first prize for creating the Ultimate Mobile Video Sports Application using Dialogic products.  FreeSWITCH developers have until the end of August to submit their application using FreeSWITCH, mod_woomera and a DiaStar^TM Server.  I'm hoping lots of that creative juice from Cluecon has stayed with some of the attendees and we see someone who attended Cluecon finish in the money!

Remember that DiaStar with chan_woomera for Asterisk is also available, bringing Video, Advanced Call Progress Analysis, SS7 and SIGTRAN to any Asterisk implementation.

Also, keep an eye out for the impending release of the DiaStar^TM Server Release 2.2.  This will add Video Conferencing, H.264 Support and a bunch of other goodies to the already rich feature set that Project DiaStar brings to the Asterisk and FreeSWITCH communities.
