IT Expo (www.itexpo.com) starts on Monday in Los Angeles. My hope is that one of the highlights of the conference will be the Open Source Telecommunications track that is taking place on Monday. As the sponsor of the track, Dialogic had a lot of input into the topics and speakers that are part of this mini-conference. The goal was to create a truly vendor-neutral look at the open source telecommunications market. With speakers from Voxeo, ViciDial, Presence Technology, Infradapt, 2600Hz, Sangoma, Digium, Fonality and others, I think we have created a balanced event that is not dominated by any one company or technology. My personal hope is that this conference track evolves into full-fledged, co-located conference at an IT Expo in the future. The only way that can happen is if these sessions are well attended. So if you are interested in Open Source Telecommunications and will be at IT Expo on Monday, I hope you stop in on the track, contribute to the conversation and help to grow this exciting industry segment.
BTW: Dialogic is well represented throughout the conference as well. You can find a complete list of our speaking engagements here or stop by booth number 412 during exhibit hours.
