On Tuesday, March 29, I'll be presenting a webinar with TMC on the topic of "Making VoIP Secure, Efficient and Seamless Across Enterprise and Service Provider Networks." 

In recent years, the pace of migration from traditional circuit-switched networks to IP has accelerated.  Initiatives like the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) have finally begun to take off after a slow start and many customers have begun to buy all-IP network elements.  At Dialogic, we've seen these trends and have been making adjustments to our product lines to stay ahead of the curve.  For example, we've been very active in marketing integrated media gateways like the IMG product family - which incorporate robust signaling such as SS7 and ISUP over SIGTRAN M3UA - but some customers have requested that we enhance the all-IP flavors of these products.  When we add additional signaling and security features to our gateways, they begin to morph into a different product category, the IP-oriented Border Element.   Border Elements borrow gateway features such as IP signal interworking and media transcoding and then add a healthy dose of Session Border Control (SBC) features such as SIP overload, topology hiding and secure session control.  Our recently introduced BorderNet^TM 2020 Integrated Multimedia Gateway is an example of a product which exemplifies this trend.    

We have also introduced our first SBC products - the BorderNet 500 for the enterprise edge and the BorderNet 3000 SBC for service providers.  As a company with in-depth expertise in both signaling and media, we bring these core competencies with us into these evolving product categories and then work closely with customers to add value to their solutions.
