Wednesday, July 16 marks New Jersey’s second Telecom Application Developer (TAD) Meetup, which is being organized by Alan Quayle and hosted at Dialogic’s Parsippany office (1515 Route 10, Parsippany, NJ 07054). If you missed the first TADMeetup, check out the post-event recap from Jim Machi.
While the first event focused on the current state of telecom, next week’s event will be more of an interactive showcase. Participants will see four live demos around the theme of WebRTC, including a remote golf instruction application demo hosted by yours truly (no pressure, right?). Other demos include deep contexting with WebRTC, flexible multi-party conferencing with a WebRTC multipoint control unit (MCU) and Kiswe Mobile’s “Mystics Live” interactive sports experience.
In addition, we’ll spend some time reviewing the first annual TADHack event, which took place in Madrid and was attended by 700 global registrations (500 in-person and 200 remotely through five satellites). I participated as a remote attendee and was fortunate enough to walk away with a prize for my remote golf instruction app. TADHack exceeded all my expectations and I hope to participate again next year in person.
All are invited to join us for next week’s event and for all future TADMeetups. I hope to see and meet many new faces on July 16. The meetups are fun, informal and great for networking—no pressure to participate. If you live in the tri-state area and would like to join us, register for the event here. Make sure to come hungry as we’ll have food and drinks for all. If you are unable to attend, but still want to learn more, stay tuned for my recap of the TADMeetup or contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope to see you there!
