Invoking TCAP-CONTINUE from MAP module

  • Hi All,

One of the Nokia MSC is only accepting SRI in two parts: SRI-returnResultNotLast(TCAP-Contine) and SRI-returnResultLast (TCAP-End)

Can anyone please let me know how to achieve this from MAP-Module? I am going through the whole MAP-User-Guide but could not find any related information.

       Thanks in advance.

    Regards

  • To be clear, our HLR is receiving SRI-Request from Nokia-MSC and it accepts the SRI-Response in two parts. i.e. SRI-returnResultNotLast(TCAP-Contine) and SRI-returnResultLast (TCAP-End).

If anyone has any idea please help me.

  • Hi All,

Please help. I am re-phrasing the question here again.

We are using Dialogic stack for MAP and TCAP layers. Our application interacts only with MAP-Layer and acts as MAP-User.

Our node acts as HLR. One of the Nokia MSC is only accepting SRI-Response in two parts: SRI-returnResultNotLast(TCAP-Contine) and SRI-returnResultLast (TCAP-End).

Following is our current flow diagram of our node (HLR) interacting with Dialogic-MAP layer. But this is not invoking TCAP-Continue(TC-Result-NL) in Dialogic-MAP layer.

Can anyone please let me know how to send SRI in two parts (TC-Result-NL  and TC-Result-L ) from MAP-Module? I am going through the whole MAP-User-Guide but could not find any related information.

Is there any specific flags or configurations?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards

  • Hi,

You can send long SRI results into the MAP module and it can be set up to split these up via SCCP segmentation. If this is not suitable please send some more detail to your Dialogic Sales or Support contact and we can look further at this.

    Thanks

    Jason

  • Hello Iqbal,

    you could try the below

    DLG-IND (OPEN)

    SRV-IND(SRI-REQ)

    DLG-IND(DELIMITER)

    DLG-REQ(OPEN RSP)

    SRV-REQ(SEND-ROUTING-INFO-ACK)

    DLG-REQ(DELIMITER)

    SRV-REQ(SEND-ROUTING-INFO-ACK)

    DLG-REQ(CLOSE REQ)
