MTU and MTR - problem

  • Hello Guys,



    Am using MTU and MTR program testing with M3UA configuration, here am using Two terminal for one become MTU and another become MTR.



    When we send the SMS from MTU side like send request and Forward request, receiving response from user along with error like provider error = 0008. but at MTR terminal am not received any messages.



    Here am sending the output of MTU and MTR along with config.txt and system.txt files and what am using script files also.

  • I would start with the MTU command. The address fields (-g and -a) look a bit screwy to me.



    In the MTU/MTR user guide the suggested values have this format:



    43020008



    This is an address coded according to ITU standard Q.713. Download this spec (it's free from the ITU) and look at section 3.4.



    43 = Address Indicator

    Decode the bits and it says 'contains SSN; route on SSN; contains pointcode; no global title'



    Following this you get the point code (2 bytes): 02 00 = pointcode 2



    Finally the SSN (1 byte) has the value 8 (MSC)

    re: SCCP addressing to pointcodes 456 and 789, the format is as follows.. 

    (from ITU Q.713 "Called Party Address")

    Pointcode 456 (#1c8) subsystem number 8 should be encoded as..   "43c80108"

    Pointcode 789 (#315) subsystem number 8 should be encoded as..   "43150308"

    Please try these addresses in your MTU command line.

    This looks like a small issue with module ids..

    The config.txt file is parsed by the 's7_mgt' binary.  s7_mgt needs to be run as a LOCAL process in the GCT environment.

    This means there should be a LOCAL declaration in SYSTEM.TXT for s7_mgt.

    I noticed in your SYSTEM.TXT you have selected module ID '0xdf' for s7_mgt as follows..

    Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 FORK_PROCESS    ./s7_mgt -m0xdf -kconfig.txt -i0xef

    In this case a LOCAL declaration for 0xdf is needed in the SYSTEM.TXT.

    Normally s7_mgt is run at the default ID of 0xcf  -  I would suggest the simplest fix would be to remove '-m0xdf' from the FORK_PROCESS command shown above.

    config.txt is same as previous

    one more thing I am running this module in remote system having "UBUNTU9.04" using "SSH" as a "root" user does it make any change?.
