You will find two attachments to this post:

1 - A pdf file with step-by-step instructions on how to install, configure and run the Dialogic SS7 and SIGTRAN protocols to exchange MAP traffic (SMS for instance) over a SIGTRAN M2PA link

2 - A zip file that contains:

  • The MTU software binary for Windows (mtu.exe
  • The MTR software binary for Windows (mtr.exe
  • The system.windows.txt that can be used on both systems for Windows (needs to be renamed into system.txt
  • The system.linux.txt that can be used on both systems for Linux (needs to be renamed into system.txt
  • The MTR config.txt (config.mtr.txt) -> needs to be renamed into config.txt on MTR side
  • The MTU config.txt (config.mtu.txt) -> needs to be renamed into config.txt on MTU side

These documents will take you through setting up an M2PA link between two servers and using MTU and MTR to transfer messages between these two severs. Hopefully this will be sufficient for your testing.

Please ensure that your firewall privileges allow communication over the ports used in your config.txt file so that the M2PA link can be established.
