I've been a fan of the magazine Dr Dobbs Journal since the 1980's, and I've always thought it was the best software developer-focused magazine that exists. Sadly, there seem to be fewer and fewer developer magazines every year (the C/C++ Users Journal merged into DDJ quite recently). DDJ is a thinner magazine than it was in the 1980's and 90's, but still has a lot of great content, and they now run an excellent web portal where you can read a lot of material online.

I've just recently discovered that they are now making short podcasts, introduced by the magazine editor, Jon Erickson. Have a look at their podcast page. One that interested me was a recent interview with David Intersimone, the chief evangelist for Borland, where he talks about Borland developer tools being spun-off into a private company with a developer focus. I know that there is interest in tools like Delphi and C++Builder in the Eicon developer community, so this might be of interest to some of you.
