My friend Arndt Meyer (who appeared in podcast number 4 ) tells me that a new version of SoftIP for H323 is now available. Ok, perhaps H323 is not as much in the news as SIP, but the protocol is still in wide use in networks across the world.

The main point of interest in 1.5 is that it is now possible to license the software with a soft-activation key, via the same method used by other products, such as Diva Server SoftSS7. Previously it needed to be activated with a USB key (dongle) that was plugged into one of the server ports. You can argue good reasons for using a USB key even still, but the fact is that this model juts does not fit for some customers. Anyway, now you have a choice, and that's a good thing.
