Today we will cover a topic that comes up frequently and is often a source of trepidation.  Upgrading your servers!  It is often advised to stay current with the latest release and service updates so that you can take advantage of the latest bug fixes and features introduced in our software.  However, it is always a stressful time when actually performing these upgrades especially when performing it on a production. This video will allow you to see the upgrade process and provide insights to make the overall process successful.

We will take a look at 3 different options for upgrading your Dialogic® PowerMedia™ XMS software.  

The 3 options are:

  • ISO Install procedure using the System Backup feature to save config data
  • Using the Web User Interface Upgrade feature
  • Upgrading via the perl install scripts using the Linux Shell.

In addition we will cover some things to be aware of that may cause errors or upgrading to fail.
