Hi !

Can anyone explain to me why the DCM shows a D/600JCT-2E1 when the computer has a D/600JCT-1E1 installed.

Even the Diagnostics saids that it is a  D/600JCT-2E1 !!!!!   Tongue Tied

Stefan,

As you're probably aware, the 1E1 version of the board was created to overcome the limitation where CSP could not run on the same span as ISDN / E1 CAS.

The 1E1 and 2E1 boards are the same, but the D/600JCT-1E1 has one of the two E1 spans disabled.  That's why it will still show up as a D/600JCT-2E1 in some utilities.

Now that you're aware of this, hopefully it doesn't cause you too many troubles.

Ahh, thank you for your fast reply, now I have another more seriuos problem (wich was the reason of my first question).  I cannot get the DCM service to start,  the computer founds the board but it will not start. I have even change the computer, remove other boards, change place, change irq´s but no luck. I have removed and installed SR 6.0 PCI SU-227 but no way, it wont start. The board did actually work about a week ago, but not now. The UDD claims that it is no springwire board installed ???, strange because the system loads the driver without problem. Are there any other testprograms / utils around ...

The board has been laying on my shelf over a year so waranty is prob. of the question. So how do I repair the board or send it for a check.

Pse help me.

Thanks in advance ...

Hi Stefan,

Suggest you run UDD utility to check the hardware components on the board.

Please refer to the doc.

For Windows: http://www.dialogic.com/manuals/docs/springware_config_win_v1.pdf

If the check is passed, then we can eliminate the hardware issue preliminary.

Thx & Rgds,

Robin

Hi ! as I said in prev. post the UDD saids that no springware board was found ! But the systems installs and loads the device driver without problem. UUD relies on "..configuration data used to download firmware ..." , I wonder if a  test software exists that doesn´t rely on Dialogic system release package. A software that only test the board thru the device driver.

DCM doesnt complain, but the service dont start. Interesting thou is that I can start the service thru "service manager" in windows, before loading config in DCM, after I load the config, I cannot start the service in the "service manager".

PSE Help, I´m close to breakdown.

And thank you all out there that are willing to help me !

Hi again, som interesting news on the matter, I´ve removed the SR 6.0 SU-227 , wiped the registry and installed the SR 6.0 That has the Intel logo in everything,  The Release Guide doc saids that this version has "New univ. PCI supp on D/600JCT-2E1-120" I beleave that the SR is just called 6.0.

Now the boards seems working, both my boards is loaded with DCM i seconds ???, the UDD reports the both boards is ok !. One issue is that the UDD reports with 4 boards ???? Id 0,20,30 woth the same Serial and one ID=10 with serial unknown. IT seems that software or address decoding on the board is strange.

But I cannot still choose some ISDN protocol. eg. ctr4. or NE1, the service wont start.

What do I do wrong ??? Or has the SU-227 messed up the eeprom code inside the board.

Thanks ...

Regards ...

Stefan
