Usage Scenario-
1. Customer calls
2. Software gets number - displays details of customer on screen (saved in our app - that is why all we need is the calling phone number)
3. Customer care person answers phone and talks to customer, with information on screen as reference
* alternate - if no customer care person - phone keeps rining - no call control required
So I need the Diva 4BRI ISDN board and not the Diva Analog 2p ? or something less / minimal?
Plan to have only 2 lines to start with. i know the line supports caller id as my cordless shows the calling persons number.
saw in another thread
Use gc_getcallinfo( ) to retrieve ANI(caller id) when presented. so is this what i would use?
Hi Tushar,
Most of our hardware will achieve what you're looking to do. I've forwarded your request to our sales team to follow up with you and make sure you get the right solution.
To answer your question about gc_GetCallInfo(). That function is used for retrieving caller ID, but is for a different product line than the Diva boards. They would use their own mechanism for getting caller ID.

From my experience the cheapest dialogic board for analog lines available in India would the D/4 PCI-UF which supports 4 analog lines. Please keep in mind that caller-id in India tends to come in either FSK or DTMF standards (mainly BSNL/MTNL landlines) and you will need to handle DTMF caller-id separately as pointed out in this forum post http://www.dialogic.com/den/forums/p/5239/20934.aspx
