hi

I use Dialogic card  D/600JCT-2E1 and the Dialogic SR is 6.0
-OS is Windows 2003 Server R2 and software is Visual C++ 6.0

my problem is when I use first 30 lines(E1 board 1) all the things work properly(play, record, get digit,...)
but in the second 30 lines(E1 borad 2) I have a noise with the play file so Icannot get any digit or record or...

I use Global call and gc_openex for dtiB1T1 and dx_open for dxxxB1C1 for the first line in board1 and use gc_openex for dtiB2T1 and dx_open for dxxxB9C1 for the first line in board2.

board1 channel 1 is ok but board2 channel 1 has noise over played file.

This has been tested with gc_basic_call_model.c program in dialogic and had the same result..
Also I have test this problem with isdiag program and had the same result too.

would u please help me?

Thanks.

Zahra.

Hi Zahra,

This could be a card issue or a line issue causing the noise.  Two possible quick tests I would recommend to isolate cause:

1) Switch the cables going into the two spans.  If span 2 becomes clear and span 1 turns noisy, then follow the physical connection backwards.  Replace the cable, check other connections relating to that line, etc.
2) Use dtiB1T1 with dxxxB9C1 and dtiB2T1 with dxxxB1C1.  This will help determine if there is a problem with a subset of voice resources on the card or if it's an external issue.

If after both of those tests span 2 is still noisy and span 1 is still clear, then some other things I would try:

1) Make span 2 the clockmaster via the DCM to see if that has any effect
2) Move the card to a different PCI slot if possible
3) Try a different D/600JCT card if available
4) Try in a different computer if available
5) RMA the card (NOTE: this should only be used as a last resort)

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your reply.

I did all your suggestion but still have noise on channel 31 up channel 60.when I change the PCMEncoding in DCM to ULAW or Automatic the first 30 channels have noise too.so I think that ALAW is very important for removing noise.but ALAW influenced only first 30 channels not channels 31-60.how I can change PCMEncoding for channels 31-60 to ALAW?
