Hi all,
We have to connect our Node with MAP application to two STP over Sigtran - M3UA association in costumer network.
We expect that our Node can support load sharing, in another word, we want that, when we will send a message, one go throw STP-1 and the next message go out by STP-2.
Before install our system in the network costumer we want test this scenario in labs.
How we can configure 4 hosts to simulate this ? What configuration model we have to use ? Host to SGP or peer to peer.
We are thinking use 4 hosts:
1) Our system with MAP application.
2) STP-1
3) STP-2
4) MSC
Thanks in advance.
I would try to setup 4 virtual systems. If you use Virtual Box and use the Cent OS as host you should be able to get the basic environment up quickly. Use the evaluation mode for the systems if you do not have licenses for them. You will need to write scripts or small applicaitons to simiulate each module other than your app.
Good luck and let us know how it works out,
Robert
I have done this question to dialogic support, and the answer was, that it is possible simulate the own system and MSC but STPs is not possible emulate. Also the configuration model neccesary is the host to SGP.
An possible example:
CNSYS:IPADDR=10.129.51.253,IPADDR2=10.129.51.254,DAUD=Y;SNAPI:AS=1,RC=0,TRMD=LS,SS7MD=ITU14;SNSLI:SNLINK=1,IPADDR=10.0.16.2,IPADDR2=10.0.16.10,PPORT=32905,SS7MD=ITU14,SG=1; *STP1SNSLI:SNLINK=2,IPADDR=10.5.28.2,IPADDR2=10.5.28.66,PPORT=32905,SS7MD=ITU14,SG=2; *STP2SNRTI:SNRT=1,DPC=4365; * MSCSNRLI:SNRL=1,SNRT=1,SG=1;SNRLI:SNRL=2,SNRT=1,SG=2;Regards.
Hi,
Load balancing would only be possible through Host to SG configuration. But unfortunately it will not be possible to simulate this in your lab with Dialogic stack.
Like you said for simulating this you will have 2 STPs...which will act has Signalling servers. But it is not possible to make STP's Simulator stack to act as Signalling gateways with Dialogic binaries. The only configuration supported is peer to peer and with that i dnt think we can configure what you are expecting in Lab...
In actual scenario, you should ask your customer to provide Host to SG connectivity with STP, and wile defining the SNRTI you can configure secondary SG.Try and let me know whether this is working.Earlier release was not supporting this.
The other possible way could be by using M2PA. You can configure 2 linkset and while defining Route you can configure primary and secondary linkset for same DPC.
Try and let us know. This will be really helpful for all.
We are asking to our costumer to do necessary testing in their network, as soon as we are doing this, I tell you the result.
Thanks.
Gustavo Duarte.
