Dear All,

We are using DMV160-LP Board with windows 2003, our 4 channels fax application is working fine, we have send faxs in different fax modems all modems are receiving fine except one.

HCF 56k PCI Modem,

when we sent fax to this modem we have received continuously  same error message,

fx_sendfax() failed due to No response to DCS, training or TCF,

we are unable to understand this error msg and where is the problem Fax application side or HCF 56k PCI Modem side??

Please give to us your suggestions regarding this.

Regards & Thank you,

Satti Raju P.

hello,

This message suggests there is a problem with the (receiving) modem. Any fax transmitter (in this case, the board) expects either CFR or FTT message in response to a TCF (training) message.

This could also be a line quality issue (i.e. too noisy). One thing that helps me a lot to troubleshoot fax is to record the audio from a fax session: set a second channel to listen to the line resource (with ag_getxmitslot() and dx_listen() ) and save it to a wav file (dx_recwav()). This might help to identify line issues.

Regards, Paulo.
