Hello,

We are getting ready to perform our first firmware upgrade on our DMG2030 this weekend.  Does anyone here have a "best practices" type of information to share?  Things to do, things not to do?

We read all documentation and it seems fairly straightforward, but just wanted to check with the community to see if they have any additional helpful info.

Thanks!

it is pretty straight forward and should only take a couple minutes. Upgrade the DMG pointing to the .pkg file via the DMG's upgrade page. Click install....this will install all the required files (If you use the ;pkg file, other wise you have to load them individually). Reboot (you can force reboot or wait until the DMG is idle option). And that's it!

I always recommend exporting your config.ini files before upgrading! Just so you have a back up of your configuration. (Export all settings under Import/Export page).

Upgrading for a reason or just to get on the latest code? From what build are you upgrading from and to?

We want to upgrade to the latest version, but have a few random odd issues that we want to see if the newest firmware irons out for us.  I read somewhere (and, sorry, I don't have the reference) that the version we are running didn't fully incorporate OCS R2.  Don't know if that is accurate or not, but we would like to be running the latest stable version anyway.

Thanks for the note.  The service from you guys is GREAT!
