Hello,

The Diva Configuration tool provides an option of  "Disable Hardware" (and "Reset Hardware")  in the Board Configuration options drop-down.

Is it possible to acheive this "board disable" via the Diva API?

Also, does "board disable" power down the board or hold the board in reset (i.e. ready for physical extraction)?

If not is there a way to power the board down  or place (and keep) in reset ?

I am running on Linux.

Thanks,

Larry

This option does not power down the board - the Diva boards are not hot swappable so the host PC must always be powered down before removal.

Currently you can't disable or reset the hardware from the SDK. If you want to take the E1 'offline' so that the telco/PBX sees the E1 as administratively down you can configure the Diva card to use 'hunt group' mode and when your application removes all listens or issues a DivaTerminate the Diva board will switch into High impedance mode so the line will appear to be down.

>> the Diva boards are not hot swappable..

That is unfortunate.

Is this true for both the PCI Express versions as well as the PCI versions of the board??

Thanks,

Larry

Yes, hot swap is not supported on the PCI Express either I'm afraid.
