Hi All,

I've a question re correlation E1 channel and ISUP Group.

How can I correlate them? I mean wich CIC should be on wich port?

I suppose  that it's a Base CID parametr? However could someone explain me how it works?

Hi

CIC is unique between two point codes and it identifies a time slot on a specific TDM interface. CIC information is provided by the Network Operator.

CID is of local significance and its logical value is the first CIC in that group.

In the ISUP circuit configuration message, a range of CIDs are mapped to a range CICs. Whereas the same CIC code can be used more than once in a system, the CID will be unique.

It is the CID value that will be passed over the ISUP API

The base CIC is the first time slot on that E1 interface carrying voice and the CID value corresponds to this.

The CIC mask is a 32bit mask indicating which time slot on the E1 carrying voice, that is which CICs are legitimate to receive signaling for.

Effectively, what you are configuring here is the range of CICs that are legitimate for ISUP to receive traffic for.

Hope it helps.

Ukernie.
