Dialogic and Mitel collaborate

Parsippany, NJ, February 23, 2016 - Dialogic, a cloud-optimized applications and infrastructure solutions provider for service providers, enterprises, and developers, and Mitel, a global leader in real-time business, cloud, and mobile communications, are celebrating a series of major customer wins as they mark the one-year anniversary of a successful business partnership that was formally launched in February 2015 to accelerate adoption of software-based IMS/VoLTE network solutions.

The business partnership, which combines Dialogic’s proven expertise in network interconnection and media processing with Mitel’s software-based IMS solution set, was formed to support the unique requirements of service providers. Three subsidiaries of one of the world’s largest multinational telecommunications companies, two major North American tier 1 carriers, and one of South East Asia’s largest mobile internet providers were able to undertake IMS network deployments and launch innovative, new, real-time communication services around the globe because of the Dialogic and Mitel partnership.

“I am very pleased to announce that several key deployments have highlighted Mitel’s and Dialogic’s significant partnership success, and have empowered our customers to introduce new revenue-generating applications such as the Mitel converged voice and video mail solution and our IMS PBX solution,” said BG Kumar, President of Mitel’s Mobile Division.

As part of a Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) and Voice-over-WiFi (VoWiFi) network deployment, a leading Tier 1 Asian mobile network operator adopted Mitel’s software-only IMS core solution along with Dialogic’s unique Media Gateway Control Function (MGCF) and Media Gateway (MGW) offering in order to seamlessly extend the reach of rich multimedia services across the boundaries of disparate access networks.

With a significant number of converged video mail and IMS PBX solutions deployed during the first year of partnership, Mitel and Dialogic have made the vision of real-time multimedia a reality for leading service providers in countries ranging from the United States to Australia.  Mitel and Dialogic are strongly complementary partners, with a shared focus on delivering innovative solutions that address the ever evolving needs of mobile network operators and their end-user subscribers in high-growth markets around the globe.

“We are extremely pleased about our on-going collaboration with Mitel, and delighted that we’ve integrated the Dialogic® PowerMedia™ XMS media server into Mitel’s enterprise PBX and mobile voice and video mail solutions in order to meet customers’ diverse media processing requirements,” said Jim Machi, Senior Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Dialogic. “Additionally, the integration of Dialogic’s ControlSwitch™ System Media Gateway Control Function and I-Gate® 4000 PRO and EDGE IMS Media Gateways with Mitel’s IMS/VoLTE offering has enabled us to jointly provide mobile network operators with industry leading IMS-compliant call routing and interconnect capabilities.”
