Dialogic Adds Analog PCIe Cards & Half-size Multi Span E1/T1 PCIe Boards to its Diva® Media Board Portfolio

Offering Greater Hardware Flexibility for Smaller Size Servers and PCs and Protecting Existing Server and TDM Equipment Investment for Organizations Wanting a Step-Change to IP

Renningen, Germany - 21 January, 2009 - Dialogic Corporation ("Dialogic") has extended its Media Board product range to include half-size Analog PCI Express (PCIe) and half-size Multi Span E1/T1 PCIe boards, providing IT managers with the option to implement and deploy small to large scale Unified Messaging applications on PCs and servers with a smaller footprint.

The new Analog PCIe boards come in 2, 4 and 8 port options, with the 4 and 8 port boards available in half-size. The 2 port board is low profile size which is shipped with standard and low profile size brackets.

The new Multi Span E1/T1 PCIe boards come in 1, 2 and 4 span options supporting 30 (24), 60 (48) and 120 (96) phone calls simultaneously. They are half-size boards and can be upgraded to support fax, VoIP and modem applications including RAS, in-store EPOS, remote meter reading and remote weather station data collection, for example.

Via a software upgrade the boards can also be used to provide gateway functionality from TDM to VoIP environments for organizations wanting to keep their current solution architecture rather than to upgrade using external IP gateways. To further protect capital outlay the software can be licensed on a channel per channel basis.

"The demand for half-size boards is growing as the trend for smaller PC and server units is being met by the major manufacturers. By offering our customers updated form factor and size options, we're giving them the option to purchase a mix of sizes or to accommodate their choice of servers and PCs. At Dialogic, it is our objective to deliver the products and solutions our customers need - when and how they want them. We believe we have met this with these additions to the Diva Media Board product range," explained Arndt Meyer, Product Line Manager at Dialogic.

The Diva product range has evolved over more than 20 years to ensure it continues to provide IT managers with an uncomplicated and cost effective migration option from TDM based telephony services to IP featured applications if they choose not to upgrade to IP using external IP gateways. The free of charge Diva SDK (Software Development Kit) for Windows and Linux ensures the development of bespoke applications is extremely simple.
