Dialogic Corporation Expands Dialogic® 4000 Media Gateway Series Product Line
Expanded Array of Hybrid Gateway Configurations will make it easier to deploy Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2
Parsippany, NJ, February 4, 2009 - Dialogic Corporation ("Dialogic"), a global provider of world-class products and technologies for media and signal processing, today announced that it has expanded its award-winning Dialogic® 4000 Media Gateway Series (DMG4000 Series) product line to provide improved compatibility with Microsoft® Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2 (R2). The expanded array of DMG4000 Series hybrid gateway configurations enables Microsoft voice partners to deploy into a broader customer base, while providing enterprise customers with a reduction in the number of servers required, and a corresponding reduction in footprint, energy use and device management. Dialogic is also working to have the current portfolio of Dialogic® Media Gateways, including the DMG1000 Series and DMG2000 Series, qualified for the new Office Communication Server 2007 R2 through the Microsoft Unified Communications Open Interoperability Program. The DMG4000 Series is a set of integrated systems designed to connect Office Communications Server 2007 R2 to existing PBX systems and PSTN networks. The DMG4000 Series reduces the number of servers needed to support Office Communications Server 2007 by integrating the mediation server role of Office Communications Server 2007 into the gateway platform. The ability to run Windows Server®-based applications on the gateway platform earns the DMG4000 Series the ‘hybrid' designation.
"The combination of Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2 and Dialogic Media Gateways provides a powerful new way for people to collaborate and offers customers a rich and integrated communications experience," said Eric Swift, senior director of the Microsoft Unified Communications Group at Microsoft Corp. "Dialogic is adding significant value to enterprise communications and enabling businesses to better connect people, information and business processes."
The new DMG4000 configurations are scheduled for general availability in early April 2009 and will complement the current T1/E1 offerings with analog FXO and BRI interfaces in a hybrid gateway architecture. The new models will ship with mediation server software from Office Communications Server 2007 R2. The DMG4000 Series will also provide an aligned software migration path for functionality in future Microsoft unified communications software releases.
"Dialogic remains committed to Microsoft's vision for unified communications and the value it can bring to enterprises worldwide," said Franz-Josef Eberle, general manager of the Enterprise Gateway Product Group at Dialogic. "With the efficiency gains in our new product releases, Microsoft and Dialogic can increase that value and accelerate the ROI for the resulting solution."
