Serial Installation

Note! Before you install the adapter, you need to turn your PC off and connect the adapter to one of the COM-ports with the serial cable. Switch on the adapter and then turn on the PC. This will initiate the Windows Plug & Play.

Should you not be asked by Windows 2000 to locate a driver, you must do the following:

Note!: Each of the points on the list below represent a new dialog on your screen. This enables you to ensure that you are following the instructions correctly.

1) Choose Start

2) Choose Settings

3) Choose Control Panel

4) Double click the icon Phone and Modem Options.

5) Select the tab Modems.

6) Click on Add.

7) Select Don't detect my modem I will select it from a list. Click Next.

8) Click Have disk....

9) Click Browse....

10) Select your CD-ROM drive and click Open.

11) Click OK once you come back to the window Install from Disk.

12) Select Diva 850 ISDN TA PnP and click Next.

13) In the following window, you must select the first available COM-Port.

14) Click Next.

You will now be warned against the use of drivers that are not certified by Microsoft.

15) Click Yes in order to accept the Diva 850 ISDN TA PnP driver.

16) The adapter is now installed. Click Finish.

17) Finally, click OK in order to close Phone and Modem Options.

USB installation

Note! Before you install the adapter, you need to turn your PC off and connect the adapter to one of the USB-ports with the USB cable. Switch on the adapter and then turn on the PC.

1. Windows will detect Eicon Diva 850 and initiate New Hardware Found. Click Next.

2. Select Search for suitable driver... and click Next.

3. Insert the installation CD-ROM into the computer's CD-ROM drive. Click Next when you have made sure that the CD-ROM drive is selected.

4. Windows will now inform you that The guide found a driver for the following unit. Click Next.

5. Click Yes in the following window.

6. Click Finish in order to finish the installation of Diva 850 ISDN T/A.

If the Diva 850 is not detected over USB do not attempt to add the device manually, instead try using the serial connection.

1. Turn off the computer.

2. Remove the USB cable.

3. Connect the serial cable, then turn the computer on.

4. Now try the serial installation
