Setting ADSL parameters
Note: If the Diva ADSL modem is supplied by the ADSL provider, the parameters will have been pre-configured and this step is not normally necessary.
If the Diva ADSL has been acquired independently, then the parameters supplied by the ADSL provider you intend to use will need to be input here.

The ADSL parameters can be set using the Diva ADSL Configure utility.
Step 1:
- Click Start > Programs > Eicon Diva ADSL USB > Configure
- The following screen will appear:
- Click on 'Settings'
Step 2:
The ADSL parameter settings screen will now appear:
- Enter the two figures for the VPI and VCI settings
- Select the closest match for the name of the encapsulation method used by
your ADSL supplier. There are only two types:
- 'LLC'
- 'Null' - also known as 'VC Multiplexed'
- Select 'Multimode' and 'Auto-Modulation' and the modem will 'auto-discover' these values.
Tuning Tip: If you do know your particular modulation setting, then select it at this point as it will make the synchronisation procedure slightly faster since the auto-discovery process will be over-ridden.
