Diva Client products

MSN configuration in Windows 2000/XP

If there are multiple applications that will receive incoming calls to a Diva Client card, you can configure Multiple Subscriber Numbering (MSN) to ensure that each application receives calls intended for it.

For example, the RAS service may be receiving calls through the WAN Miniport service for network access, and there may be a CAPI or COM Port-based application which has to receive faxes. The card therefore needs to be configured so that it can receive calls for both services and direct them to the two applications. In order to differentiate which application or service answers which incoming calls, assign a different phone number on your ISDN line to each service.

Configure MSN for RAS / Incoming Connections

To configure MSN for RAS or Incoming Connections, you must go to the Diva Client Configuration of the Diva Client card, in order to configure the WAN Miniport service.

Go to Start -> Programs -> Diva Client for Windows -> Diva Client Configuration.

Enter the MSN numbers that you wish Dial-up Networking to answer on and click Apply.

The Wan Miniport will now answer incoming calls to the specified numbers.
