Setting up Incoming calls on Diva Media boards

How to setup a basic incoming connection for a Diva Media Board under Windows 2003/XP/Vista

Note: If you expect large numbers of incoming connections on a server that operates as part of a distributed network or as a domain controller, use Routing and Remote Access (RRAS) to create a remote access server. RRAS also provides greater flexibility to manage incoming connections. 

Please refer to the online help in the Windows operating system for information on how to configure RRAS.

Further information about setting up incoming connections under Windows 2008 and Windows 7 can be found in the Diva System Release Reference Guide.

The following is a step-by-step guide setting up a connection to receive incoming calls. In order to do so, please follow the procedure below.

1. Open 'Network Connections' from Control Panel, and double click on 'New Connection Wizard'.

2. Click 'Next'.

Select Network Connection Type

3. Select 'Set up an advanced connection', and click 'Next'.

Accept Incoming Connections

4. Select 'Accept incoming connections' and click 'Next'.

Select Diva Adapter(s)

5. Select the 'Dialogic Diva Generic Server' modems and click 'Next'.

Select no VPN connections

6. Select 'Do not allow virtual private connections and click 'Next'.

Select Users

7. Select the users you want to allow to connect to this computer and click 'Next'.

Select Network Components

8. Select each networking component you want to enable for incoming connections and click 'Next'. The setup is complete.

Setup Complete

9. Finally, click 'Finish'.

You are now ready to receive incoming calls.
