Dialogic® 1000 and 2000 Media Gateways (DMG series)
Upgrading a Dialogic DMG1000 series Media Gateway may not be reversible
Warning:Once a DMG1000 series Dialogic Media Gateway has been upgraded to V5.0 SU1 it cannot be downgraded to any software revision below V4.0 SU7.
Reason for the problem:
This limitation was introduced to ensure software compatibility with the RoHS-5 compliant PIMG models.
Fix / Solution:
There is no way to alter this behavior. You should be aware of this condition prior to upgrading units in the field where you may need to roll back the upgrade to a release prior to V4.0 SU7
This issue does not impact the 2000 series of Dialogic Media Gateways.
