Ethernet
A very common method of networking computers in a Local Area Network (LAN). Classic Ethernet can consist of as many as 1.024 individual computers or other devices, such as printers. Classic Ethernet has a data transfer speed of 10 megabits per second and can be used with almost any kind of computer. In 1993, Fast Ethernet which supports speeds of up to 100 megabits per second was introduced.
