  1. In the Windows 'Start' menu, select 'Settings' > 'Network and Dial-up Connections'.

  2. Double-click on 'Local Area Connection'.

  3. Click on the 'Properties' button.

  4. Select 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' and click on the 'Properties' button.

  5. Click on the 'Advanced' button.

  6. Click the 'Add' button below the list of default gateways.

  7. Click in the 'Gateway' entry field.

  8. Enter Safepipe's IP address (Ethernet 1 / LAN1) and click the 'Add' button.

  9. Safepipe's IP address now appears in the list of 'Default gateways'. Click 'OK' to apply.

    Note: You can have more than one gateway to the Internet. The default gateway must be listed first.

  10. The TCP/IP properties sheet has now been updated with the new default gateway. Click 'OK'.

  11. Click 'OK' once more.

  12. Click 'Close' to finish.
