How to set up a Windows 2000 PC to use DHCP
In the Windows 'Start' menu, select 'Settings' > 'Network and Dial-up Connections'.
Double-click on 'Local Area Connection'.
Click on the 'Properties' button.
Select 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click the 'Properties' button.
Make sure that 'Obtain an IP address automatically' is activated. Click the 'OK' button.
You have now activated DHCP, and your PC will obtain an IP address automatically. Click 'OK' to apply the changes.
Click 'Close' to finish.
