Browser
A browser is a program on a user’s computer (a Web client, as opposed to a Web server). It is used for viewing and navigating among documents on Web servers connected to the Internet or on intranets. When a user enters a Web address in the browser’s address field, the browser requests a copy of the Web document from the relevant Web server and presents it on the user’s screen. The browser uses the HTML markup tags included in the Web document to present the contents, structure and behaviour of the document. Netscape Communicator and Microsoft Internet Explorer are examples of browsers.
