NetBIOS NetBIOS, Network Basic Input Output System, is an interface which programmes contact to get access to transport services in a network. NetBIOS was developed by IBM and Microsoft in the 1980’s. It can be run using a number of different protocols including TCP/IP and NetBEUI (NetBIOS Extended User Interface).
