  1. In the Windows 'Start' menu, select 'Settings' > 'Control Panel' > 'Network'.

    Click the 'Add' button on the 'Configuration' tab.

  2. Select 'Protocol' and click 'Add'.

    Select Network Component Type

  3. Select 'Microsoft' as manufacturer and 'TCP/IP' as protocol. Click 'OK'.

  4. The TCP/IP protocol is now installed and appears in the list of available network components. Click 'OK' to apply the changes.
