Dialogic® School of Video - Dialogic® Vision VX ™ Integrated Media Platform - Building Enhanced Video Services

Course Overview

In this workshop, students will spend two days learning about the different deployment models for delivering enhanced video services and how to build an application.  Students will have the opportunity for some hands-on experience developing a sample video service and test it using the low-cost deployment model.

Class size is limited to preserve low instructor:student and equipment:student ratios.  Class will be capped at about 10 students.

Provided during by course - A Dialogic Vision VX Integrated Media Platform will be made available to test services that are created by the students.

Available after the course - After completing the course, students will be able to continue their service development using the hosted VX platform.  Students will be requested to schedule their time with Dialogic.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course students will:

  • Understand the different deployment models for delivering enhanced video services
  • Build and test a simple interactive video-based application
  • Acquire the knowledge and tools required to develop your enhanced video service

Target Audience

Application developers interested in quickly developing and deploying mobile video enhanced services.

Prerequisites

This workshop requires that students bring a laptop pre-loaded with the Service Creation Environment (SCE) tools and the SIP client software:

  • Eclipse VTP (Voice Tools Project) http://www.eclipse.org/vtp/downloads.php 
    • To install the VTP 3.0 build simply un-zip the file and copy the contents of the un-packaged plug-ins directory into the plug-ins directory of your existing Eclipse install. Please remember that the Java Runtime 1.5 is a pre-requisite for VTP 3.0 and is required for proper functionality.
  • Openmethods OpenVXML Studio 3.0 http://www.openmethods.com 
    • Run the install executable/binary
