Overview

The Dialogic® MSP Multi-Services Platform Training course provides a solid understanding of how to implement switching solutions using the Dialogic® SwitchKit API and MSP. This in-depth course addresses MSP hardware components, software architecture, software features and API messages. The course also provides a solid working knowledge of the SwitchKit API. Attendee perform hands-on lab exercises to configure, monitor and provision the system. Lab exercises are SwitchKit-based and thoroughly address all features of the SwitchKit OA&M system.

Course Objectives

Upon succesful completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe MSP features, hardware components and software architecture
  • Understand software features, including system redundancy
  • Initialize the switch and download system software
  • Initialize host-to-switch communications
  • Describe SwitchKit architecture, features and log files
  • Create a MSP configuration using ClientView
  • Perform MSP monitoring and provisioning tasks using ClientView
  • Outline requirements for a call control application using EXS API
  • Understand SS7 and ISDN call models.

Target Audience

Application developers and network engineers who will architect and design switching solutions using Multi - Services Platforms; systems engineers and experienced switch technicians who require a solid understanding of switch operation.

Required Preparation

General knowledge of TDM switching, T1 and E1 interfaces and SS7.
