Uninstalling the SNMP Agent on Solaris SPARC
This procedure describes how to uninstall the SNMP Agent on a Solaris SPARC system.
Before you begin
Make sure that none of the SNMP Agent processes are currently running.
Uninstalling the SNMP Agent on Solaris SPARC
To uninstall the SNMP Agent, follow the steps below:
1 Log on as user root.
2 Change directory to:
/etc/srconf
3 Run the install script by typing the following:
./solarisDeinstall.sh
If you try to run the script and you are not logged on as root, the following message is displayed:
# Need to be root to execute this script
If this message appears, log on as root and try the command again.
If you get an output similar to the following example, the uninstall was successful:
User = root
Stopping emanate snmp deamon
Stopping emanate mib2agt deamon
CSPAgent not running
CSPEventManager not running
Uninstall Complete
