Local Number Portability (LNP)

Overview

This feature allows the IMG to route ported numbers for SIP and SS7.

Example

A basic LNP scenario is shown below.

 

Subscriber A=508-4445555 is calling Subscriber B=508-8623606

Subscriber B has been ported and the LEC servicing B is LEC2 and its LRN=333-2233445image64.gif

 

 

Note: The IMG does not perform the LNP.

SIP-SS7 Interworking

This feature will interwork between the SS7 LNP information and SIP.

Configuration

Enabling or Disabling LNP Routing is accomplished in the ISUP Group pane.
