Latest version of media server adds new MRF compatibility and JSR309 features, making migration easier
Parsippany, NJ, April 7, 2016 - Dialogic, a cloud-optimized applications and infrastructure solutions provider for service providers, enterprises, and developers, announced today the general availability of Dialogic® PowerMedia™ XMS Release 3.1. PowerMedia XMS 3.1 is an upgrade of the company’s media server/media resource function (MRF) that makes migration to a PowerMedia XMS platform easier for users of both competitor and legacy Dialogic platforms. Notable enhancements in Release 3.1 include features for JSR309 API control, enhanced conference applications, transaction recording for compliance and training in contact centers, and additions to enable initiating outbound calling.

As part of the product launch, PowerMedia XMS 3.1 will play an important role during the TADHack-mini London being held April 9-10 at the IDEA London and broadcasted online. Operating in concert with the cloud-based Telestax Restcomm platform, PowerMedia XMS 3.1 will facilitate advanced media processing resources for developers competing for their share of a $5,000 prize pool.

- JSR309 Connector — supports J2EE Application Servers including Oracle OCCAS 7, IBM Liberty, and Telestax Restcomm
- Conference Control Enhancements — support for API command buffering
- Whisper Coach Conferencing — used extensively in contact centers and conference platforms
- Transaction Conference Recording — as needed in contact centers, financial, and public safety applications
- VxML Outbound Calling — facilitating outbound notification applications
- RTP/RTCP Port Multiplexing – improving NAT traversal and security by reducing application port usage
