Installing the SIP software

The SIP for NCC API software can be installed under the following operating systems:

Windows installation

The SIP for NCC API software for Windows is distributed as an InstallShield® package. This package installs the SIP for NCC API files to the appropriate directories. Once the package is installed, and the SIP for NCC API license is deployed, the software can be run either manually or as a Windows service. The SIP server software is contained in the file nmssip.exe, which is installed in the bin directory.

Solaris and Linux installation

The SIP for NCC API software for Solaris and Linux is distributed as a compressed .tar file.

Copy the .tar file to a directory.

Expand the .tar file.

Run the install script install-nsccsip.


The SIP for NCC API files are copied to the appropriate directories. Once the package is installed, and the SIP for NCC API license is deployed, the software can be run either manually or as a daemon. The SIP server software is contained in the file nmssip, which is installed in the /opt/nms/bin directory.
