Hello all,

Your expertise is requested in unravelling the mysteries of the GTT masking, using the feature “Enhanced Global Title Translation algorithm”.

The requirement that I have is to have the stack translate any RI=GT and forward this to the STP for translation. This is the normal why that I have used on every signalling stack in the last 20 years...

IE:

TT=0, NP=ISDN-TEL, NA=INT, DIG="0", PC=12212, SSN=6, RI=GT;

TT=0, NP=ISDN-TEL, NA=INT, DIG="1", PC=12212, SSN=6, RI=GT;

TT=0, NP=ISDN-TEL, NA=INT, DIG="2", PC=12212, SSN=6, RI=GT;

TT=0, NP=ISDN-TEL, NA=INT, DIG="3", PC=12212, SSN=6, RI=GT;

TT=0, NP=ISDN-TEL, NA=INT, DIG="4", PC=12212, SSN=6, RI=GT;

TT=0, NP=ISDN-TEL, NA=INT, DIG="5", PC=12212, SSN=6, RI=GT;

TT=0, NP=ISDN-TEL, NA=INT, DIG="6", PC=12212, SSN=6, RI=GT;

TT=0, NP=ISDN-TEL, NA=INT, DIG="7", PC=12212, SSN=6, RI=GT;

TT=0, NP=ISDN-TEL, NA=INT, DIG="8", PC=12212, SSN=6, RI=GT;

TT=0, NP=ISDN-TEL, NA=INT, DIG="9", PC=12212, SSN=6, RI=GT;

I have been told by Dialogic engineers that if this is implemented, that circular routing of an incoming MSU destined for the Stack would occur. However, in testing one masking rule that we got to work, when the Called Party Address contains the Stack’s GT and the SSN of the TCAP user, no problems exist and the Stack works fine without any GTT rules loaded. SCCP Translation Failure logs only appear when a TCAP_Begin is attempted to be sent by the TCAP user.

Note that the number length of the CdPA GT will of course change depending upon the CC and NSN. Thus, the solution must not be restricted by unique Number length translations. The Stack must ‘best match’ the translation rule to the CdPA and action accordingly.

Therefore, any assistance in resolving this problem, which I know that many other Engineers will also wish to know, would be appreciated.

a) Can anyone translate the above data into SCCP-PM language?

b) Does anyone have a utility tool that allows English input (like above) and converts this to SCCP-PM language?

I look foward to any responses.
