Help fixing TCAP Maintenance event : TCPEV_CPT_REQ_DISCARD

  • Hello

I am getting TCPEV_CPT_REQ_DISCARD message and am struggling to work out why, any help would be very gratefully received.

I am using s7_play to send the following messages, which should be an InitialDPSMS using the cap-v3-SMS application context.

  • Hi Geoff

I belive that your component is wrongly formatted, replace

  • Hi Colin

Thanks for your reply which has sorted out the problem. I do appreciate the help and the time taken.

As a newcomer to this area it feels to me as though a tool to generate messages for s7_play would be a valuable addition to the dialogic toolkit. We have recently found http://www.linkbit.com/uiplus/ where if you select a protocol of TCAP/CAPx it will help format the parameters for you, but even so a dedicated tool would certainly have been useful to me, and I suspect most other ss7 beginners too.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Geoff
