I am trying to install HMP 4.1 onto Centos 7.6 running on a VirtualBox VM. There are no Dialogic hardware cards as I am using the IP interfaces, the problem seems to be that the HMP is not seeing my ethernet interfaces, a similar installation on Centos 6.9 works fine and if I run the command show interface ethernet in the CLI I see the ethernet interfaces, if I run that command on the Centos 7.6 installation the result is Interface not available.
I have been running around in circles for a day or two now, I have removed and reinstalled the Dialogic software twice now and no change, from the release notes it looked like support for Centos 7.1 was introduced back in 2018, I am installing patch level 272 which is just a couple of months old.
Any pointers or a solution gladly received.
In this case, HMP requires at least one of the Network interface names be "ethX" where X is some number (typically 0). In VMs this is common to be named something else, and required to be changed to ethx.
I suspect that is the difference between the 6.9 system and the 7.6 system you referenced.
Thank you for that, I changed the naming of the Network interfaces to eth0 and eth1 and now the HMP finds the interfaces successfully.
