XO uses Dialogic PowerMedia XMS for their customer experience applications

Dialogic, a global networking software and infrastructure solution provider, announced today that XO Communications (XO) has selected the Dialogic® PowerMedia™ XMS media processing solution to support virtualization for certain hosted voice applications.

Moreover, XMS supports other key functionalities such as message session relay protocol (MSRP) for enhanced texting and WebRTC voice (Opus), and video codecs (VP8 and VP9), which can enable additional future services on the same platform. PowerMedia XMS is fully software-based and is on a path to support network functions virtualization (NFV) as more service providers build it into their cloud infrastructures for operational and capital expenditure savings.
