IPcom Selects Dialogic Corporation to Enable 3G Video Solutions and Mobile Location-Based Services in Latin America

MONTEVIDEO, URUGUAY- May 10, 2010 - IPcom, a leader in designing, developing and implementing Core Platforms and Value-Added Services for the mobile and fixed telephony market, today announced the launch of 3G video applications and Location-Based Service (LBS) solutions, based on Dialogic® platforms, in more than ten countries in Latin America.

With the launch of its powerful video portfolio, which includes Video Portals, Video Messaging, and Video Travel and Entertainment applications, among others, IPcom offers the mobile market a set of products to enhance the user's experience and maximize mobile video revenue. Through its LBS Platform, IPcom offers different services including Location Match Dating, Child Locator, Float Tracker, etc.

IPcom chose Dialogic® Host Media Processing (HMP 4.1LIN) video/voice software development platform to empower its video portfolio with the best 3G video encoding platform. HMP performs media processing tasks on general-purpose servers without requiring the use of specialized hardware, and provides 3G.324 M and Video over IP to power IPcom's video portfolio which includes video portals, video chats and mobile video advertising products.

For its LBS Platform (GMLC and SMLC network nodes), IPcom chose the Dialogic® SIGTRAN monitor. The LBS product can be acquired in 4 different versions with different levels of accuracy: ATI (Any Time Interrogation to HLR), 3GPP standard based, Non-Intrusive Monitoring and SIM Application based.
